Ruben, that should work, but I don't have a guess what is causing the
failure. Are there any message in the online log or at the command line?
Sometimes there are problems with odd combinations of delimiter characters
embedded in TEXT columns, but BYTE types should be encoded as a stream of
hex values so that should not be an issue.
As an aside, if you want to try it, my dbexport/dbimport replacement
package, myexport, can export TEXT and BYTE data with no problem. You can
download it from the IIUG Repository. It also requires my utils2_ak
package (for myschema). If you are using the -E option (use external
tables for export and import) you don't need anything else. If you want to
use HPLoader you will also need Ravi Krishna's myonpload package - note
that -E is faster than using HPLoader and MUCH faster than
dbexport/dbimport even without using the parallel option which just turbo
boosts the whole operation!
Note also that myexport and myimport are compatible with dbexport and
dbimport in that you can export with either myexport or dbexport and import
with either myimport of dbimport.

Ruben,
I would recommend that you try running unload form dbaccess to get the
appropriate error message.
If my memory servers my right I recall this happening when DBTEMP in the
onconfig is set to a path that is unavailable to Informix user. Setting it to
a writeable directory should solve the matter. If its the case create a RAM
drive with the size of the largest blob and point DBTEMP to that mount point
it will speed up tremendously :)

Thanks Kenneth
I run unload and work fine.
I think something append with ER because without ER works fine.
But I need ER with these tables.
