Hi Jaswant, A unique index is automatically built on a serial column. If you're noticing poor performance, it could be for a number of reasons. If you've built several indexes on other columns as your note suggests, these can greatly slow down any updates, inserts, or deletes. Otherwise, if your reads are slow, check your SQL syntax.
