You can mess around with ON-Monitor and the various other onxyz utilities, or you can go poking around in the sysmaster database. You need to know which parts of your disks are allocated to Informix, of course, and as far as anything else is concerned, all that space is in use because it is all allocated to Informix. If you want to know how much of the space Informix is really using, then you use the utilities, as I mentioned. Also, don't forget that if you have multiple OnLine systems on a single machine, the utilities for Instance 1 won't report on the usages for Instance 2, nor vice versa. The prtvtoc tells you about which slices exist on your disks. That too is useful information, but not what you're really after. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
