SQLSTATE from Store Procedure

How do I get the SQLSTATE from an error trapped with an ON EXCEPTION inside a stored procedure? Thank you, Debbie Butler
You don't. There's an FR 151853 which I put into PTS to be able to generate an SQLSTATE in SPL -- maybe RAISE -746, -201, "My Message Text", "XX012". I should extend it to request that you are able to catch the SQLSTATE too. There's also an FR 151852 requesting SQLSTATE from DBINFO. They are related - clearly - and could perhaps be combined. They have not yet received very much attention - no customer cases. You could improve that by logging a support call, asking about this, and then requesting that you case be associated with either or both of these FRs. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@us.ibm.com) STSM, Informix Database Engineering, IBM Data Management 4100 Bohannon Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025 Tel: +1 650-926-6921 Tie-Line: 630-6921 "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!" |---------+----------------------------> | | "Butler, Debbie" | | | <Debbie.Butler@tu| | | rner.com> | | | Sent by: | | | forum.subscriber@| | | iiug.org | | | | | | | | | 10/02/2003 07:53 | | | AM | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: ids@iiug.org | | cc: | | Subject: SQLSTATE from Store Procedure [1976] | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------| How do I get the SQLSTATE from an error trapped with an ON EXCEPTION inside a stored procedure?
