The return of the ESQL/C and OUTER JOIN bug and... core dumping news
Posted in 2004
Hello ! Well, as pointed out by Abhishek , this bug: ========= Bug B166164 : JOIN CONSTRUCT IN THE FROM CLAUSE USING HOST VARIABLES, REVERSES THE SEQUENCE OF HOST VARIABLES IN GENERATED CODE ========= was corrected and all works fine now. Pretty useful :) then the patch i was sent , (9.53.UC2X1) should have correct the coredump problem with huge file to compile.... In fact it introduce many things... When compiling and in the case that coredump should appear, the Server starts to run at full speed (so without any idle time left.) and disks became crazy .... for a while... With the previous version it took a few second before ending to core dump, but now it's longer and ressource user ... To finally end in core dumping... The second thing is that sqli_stmt structure which appear in code after esqlc work is done sems to have change >>>> warning: passing arg 3 of `sqli_stmt' from incompatible pointer type i'm gonna to check deeper inside eslq include to have more info . That was just to tell that the first bug can be corrected with the patch and it works fine :) Arnaud
