Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Alessandro,
I appreciate it has been almost 4 years since you posted this query. In all
that time did you ever resolve the issue? I'm asking because I'm seeing
exactly the same issue in our application. Once the process gets a -211 (ISAM
-101) from Informix (IDS 9.40.UC7W1 in our case) every single request to the
engine is turned back with -211. If I cycle the process (eg: drop the
connection and re-establish) life returns back to normal.
Kind regards,
-Randy Galbraith
I wanted to post back an important note on how this issue was resolved for us.
If we turned off the PDQ (Parallel Database Query) option we no longer
received a -211 SQLCODE with -101 ISAM. Don't know why this is the case. Is
there perhaps a defect in the engine in how it tracks file-like resources when
doing PDQ operations?
