Try trusted facility auditing, it sounds like it might be just what you are looking for IF you need the records for history/review and not for transaction rollback. Comes with the product and its very simple to setup, which is a bonus. As soon as I took over in the shop I am now, I turned this on because this pace was plagued by careless developers who would typo an adhoc and accidentally delete a million records...then not tell anyone they did it! Since a few folks have learned about 'big brother' things have become more stable and I turned it off and now only turn it on when I need to do some quick debugging which in some cases its pretty helpful. There is a slight performance cost and it seems like everytime theres an Informix upgrade this piece is always a weakpoint that has to crash our server several times before the IDS group will work up a patch.
