Problem with multiple databases in a single 4GL program

Hello all, We are running into some serious difficulty when running a 4GL program which manipulates two dinstinct databases under the following configuation of Informix Interactive UNIX System V, Release 3.2, Version 4.0 Informix SE Version 5.0 / 486 Informix-4GL/RDS Version 4.10 / 486 Specifically, we are trying to merge two databases which reside into two different directories into a third database. We use statements DATABASE "dbname" CLOSE DATABASE to open and close each database respectively. Upon successful building of the third database we issue a number of SQL modification operations (INSERTs and DELETEs). After a random number of successful such SQL operations, the system fails issuing the following runtime error Program stopped at "cctpropevl.4gl", line number 116. SQL statement error number -410. Prepare statement failed or was not executed. where line 116 is one of these modification operations. Notice that there is no PREPARE statement anywhere in the program. The same behavior is also observed under an entirely different application which also manipulates two databases and proceeds with a number of SQL modification operations. Has anyone else out there run into a similar problem ? Is this some known Informix bug ? Is there a patch for it ? Any help will be appreciated.... Iakovos Karakas
