Re: Slow network connection
Posted in 2004
It seems that you are right. I have found out the following:
In dbaccess, a connect takes (less than) a second, except after I have
changed the user password: the first connect then takes a minute,
subsequent connects take a second again.
The very same happens when I start a client application locally.
The Windows NT system is connected to a Windows 2000 domain controller
with about 200 users. The number of local users however is less than
10.
The database does accept local windows users only, but it seems that
domain accounts are also checked.
Is there a way to specify an account name as local (such as
local_domain::acount)?
