Setting up onconfig

Does anyone know how to or have an example setup file (onconfig) to
setup informix for linux. Also can you use a file for the database or do
you have to use a partition?
Thanks
ROOTNAME rootdbs # Root dbspace name
ROOTPATH /dev/hda3 # Path for device containing root dbspace
ROOTOFFSET 0 # Offset of root dbspace into device (Kbytes)
ROOTSIZE 20000 # Size of root dbspace (Kbytes)

You can, and on Linux 2.0.x and 2.2.x usually will, use a file rather
than a device. I use a symbolic name for every device, and the name
depends on the database server name, so I have files like
/usr/informix/dev/anubis_73.rootdbs.c0 (for server anubis_73, chunk 0
of the rootdbs). This is often a symlink to some convenient file where
there's space. The ROOTOFFSET is zero for cooked files; for some raw
devices on some o/s, you need a non-zero offset. Choose a convenient
size for the space; 20 MB is rather small these days. Note that the
space will all be allocated when you initialize the server.
