ONBAR and Log Files

We are using Informix 7.24 and ONBAR with ADSM on an RS6000 running AIX 4.1.4. One problem we have with the product is how to get ADSM to purge backups of log files after either a number of days have past or after a number of backups have been created. Our friends at IBM say that Informix must supply some sort of utility to take care of this purging of log backups. I did see a note on another list that said Informix had agreed to develop this utility sometime in the future. In the meantime, has anyone come up with an easy way to purge log backups from ADSM?
