9.14 Crashes on Update Statistics

Universal 9.14 on NT. Update statistics on tables is OK Update statistics (high or low) on procedures crashes the engine. I assume that I have the wrong setting somewhere, but where? Can anybody help? Thanks Bashar Chalabi CTL, London
