Corrupt Table - Can't drop it!

We are using Informix v7.3 on a DEC Alpha. I have a table that has been
corrupted. The online log states running an oncheck -pt, but that doesn't work.
This is what happens when I run the oncheck:
TBLspace Report for Unknown:Unknown.2d00006
Error opening TBLspace 2d00006.
When I try to drop the table, Informix returns the following error:
214: Cannot remove file for table
172: ISAM error: Unexpected internal error
I tried to delete the rows from the table and got this error:
243: Could not position within a table
110: ISAM error: end or beginning of the file
So, I tried to drop the table's dbspaces and, of course, I can't drop a dbspace
that's not empty.
I need to drop this table or fix it. Any suggestions??!!??
Thanks!
Ellen
Hi!
I' ve learned in the past (with Online 5.xx) that I must reinitialize
the rootdbs.
Be aware: all data will lost! You need dbexports to reload the
database(s). For safety, I've backuped to tape and to disk with tbtape
and
tbunload. 2x dbexports, 2x onchecks and backed up all my config-files
and
configurations. For a database with more than 10 GB this will take a
long
time.....(very long time)
PS: My "corrupted table" was created by a broken "alter table" on OL
5.03.
The problem was, that I had killed with CTRL-C the command in dbaccess
& the database was in nologging-mode.
Good look and good times.

Dear Ellen !
I think you need some help from Informix Tech Support. In your case
Informix can't locate partiton page for this table, or this page
corrupted. On this page stored table's profile (columns definition,
extents info, indexes info and etc.). You can do 'oncheck -pT
database_name:table_name' and display page by address, given
in 'Physical address' row. If this page displays OK (use 'oncheck -
pp') - then you got logical error with this page, if 'oncheck -pT'
shows you nothing (I think you will see some kind of error) - you
definitely needs Informix help.
P.S. Try 'oncheck -cDI <database_name>' - probably this points you some
info about the problem. Oh ! If this table is temporary - simply
restart your server - table will be dropped automatically.
