Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I am maintaining a legacy system using informix
7.3. The system has crash recently. At the start of oninit, the logs
file shows that there is an error after logical recovery process. Also
from oncheck -cR there are invalid entries in the logical log.
Is there anyway to skip logical log recovery so the server can start?
Or is there another solution? Thanks for the help.
Mohammad,
1. If there is a level 0 archive image around you can simply restore using
that image with NO logical log recovery as there is most likely logical log
corruption.
2. If not then tech support has the ability to null out fast recovery
providing you have a valid support contract but still may cost you time and
materials for a version that old.
