To the poster who said minimal performance increase, I think something is wrong. If performance was an issue, I would only use Online 2. Moving from SE to Online is very simple. The problem is keeping the Online engine running. Online does require more setup and maintenance. 3. We have always used SE in-house for development purposes because of ease of use. Reasons - multiple copies of database are just multiple copies of a directory instead of multiple online engines. - No maintenance required. You load SE, you run ISQL, you create a database, you use it... - One copy of Online will buy a bunch of copies of SE If I was in a production environment (working with data instead of working with programs) I would definitely sacrifice the ease of use for the performance and reliability. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Miguel A.
