I need help on the below issue:
I need a way to distinguish records notified to the application
(via auditing feature and triggers) between those coming from
replication and those coming from local inserts.
Is there a way to do that in IDS.
Uday mentioned:
"There is a LM_DDR bit, value = 0x1, in the lh_flags of the
insert log records. This is not set if the insert has come through
replication, and set if it has come via the local inserts. I don't know
if this helps, but I don't know of any other way to distinguish."
Googling did not help much on LM_DDR flag in IDS.
This is going to be a major factor in deciding our future road
map. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

How about creating an extra char(1) field in the table.
On the local server create the table with ..
Create table tab1 ( fld1 ...
src char(1) default "L" ) ;
And on the remote table ..
Create table tab1 ( fld1 ...
source char(1) default "R" ) ;The application should not insert a value into this field. Downside is
the schema is different on the servers.

First of all --- Why? If you have CRCOLS, then you can check the cdrserver. Be aware that with 9.4 & 10.x, if the CDRID is negative, then it means that it is a locally updated row of which ER has not yet processed the commit/rollback log record. If it was updated remotly, then the CDRSERVER shadow column would be the remote server CDRID from the sqlhost file.
