Interesting technology but at least some of what I've read is nonsense. For example: "unlike RAC, MACH 11 does not require a high speed interconnect switch such as Infiniband" http://www.physorg.com/news98803681.html I can't think of a single RAC customer of mine using Infiniband and I can't think of a single member of the Oracle RAC Pack that has ever said Infiniband is required. The Infiniband story is mostly FUD. And the comment, above, is marketing-speak or ignorance or both. It will be interesting to see how the technology handles the situations that, in Oracle, stress the system such as multiple users accessing and changing the same data and index pages at the same time. -- Daniel A.
