First you can run some versions on Linux. Check out http://www.inxutil.com for some info. Otherwise you can also get SCO Unix for free for this purpose. Check out http://www.sco.com As to the Informix engine you would have to ask your local Informix office if they are willing to give you a trial version. Sometimes they are.
