Check for Next Extent Size vs Remaining Space in D

When I was quite heavy into v7 and v9 instances several years ago, I came across and used a shell script that would examine the remaining space within a dbspace and determine if any tables' (or indices') next extent exceeded that remaining space . thus not allowing the table (or index) to create its next extent when the time came for the table (or index) to grow.
