I concur, dbexport is slower than previous versions (dog slow). I've
posted this some time back with no responses. I think I performed update
stats on the system tables and was able to speed it a touch. Also, check
to see how many extents are on your system tables, this may contribute as
well.
When time permits I wouldn't mind watching the sql running again during the
export to see if there are indexes that are needed in addition to the
update stats. I'm sure there are key only indexes that could speed it up
considerably. I don't think the data unloads were the primary issues as
much as the sql running against the system tables to extract all the
necessary db info.
Maybe someone in tech support and or a ibm developer would have some
insights on possible indexes (supported).

There are also some slow index build issues if the box does not have
enough memory for sorts. I do not know if that is what you are running
into, but we did. 9.4 seems to want more memory than 7.31 almost
everywhere.

try with export PDQPRIORITY=100 for dbexport/dbimport and see if this
makes any difference
