Re: online crash

That's interesting - I saw that same error about two hours ago during an Informix DSA 7.1 Performance Tuning course here in Sydney (using 7.1.UD3 on an HP Kittyhawk) We thought it occured as a result of using tbmode -F (to free unused memory segments) just after an "update statistics high" and didn't try it again. I no longer have access to the error log but there was definitely a message like "Assert Failed: Internal Error - Segmentation Violation" with a "PANIC: Attempting to bring system down".
