PC I-NET & Delphi

We're just starting out with Delphi Client/Server, and I'm looking for what's necessary to connect up to our Informix database. According to the Borland manuals, I need Informix-Net for the PC. Is this truly necessary, or is there an alternative? Next, aside from direct from Informix, does anyone know of any mailorder houses selling it, and about how much is it per seat? Thanks, Bill
