Hi all, Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.30.UC6 Can someone please tell me if the optimizer takes into account the number of extents for tables when deciding on a query plan? No definitive answer but I think not. It is mainly looking at the number of I/Os it will have to perform which is not affected by number of extents. Art S. Kagel
