The whole story in english: Informix Client-Server Installation, SGI IRIX 5.2 Components: ONLINE 5.01.UD2 I-STAR TCP/IP 5.01.UD2 (Server) I-NET TCP/IP 5.01.UD2 (Client) Problem: The performance is ok when we're working direct on the server. Starting a query with multiple 'selects' on the client let's me wait a long time for the answer. If we try a simple select (one or more sets), it's like working on the server. But if we have 15 different selects we must wait a minute instead of 5 sec.. The database is 'unbuffered logging' and 'ansi compliant' defined. We use 'embedded sql'.
