Onpladm utility Error

Please help; am trying to laod a huge file using onpladm utility but its
throwing the following error;
"Error connecting to Socket"
my file is called "gsrv1"
my db is called "growers"
my table is called "gsr"
my command: onpladm create job gsrv1 -d gsrv1 -D growers -t gsr -flu
command to load data;
onpladm run job gsrv1 -fl
then i see this
Connecting to onpload, Please wait...
Error connecting to Socket
What am i missing?
Enviroment:
SUSE linux 10
IDS 10
Paul
Are you using a shared memory connection to the database ? You should be on tcp ?

config file details:
onpladm describe job gsrv1 -fl
onpladm describe device gsrv1
