NewEra and passwords

Hi all, I want to write a quickie password function where the user enters their login & password and we verify the info off the datatbase. Ive come up with about 20 different ways to handle hiding the password display (displaying ****'s in the password textBox), but was just wondering what the "correct" way is. Thax in advance! Bob
