Character to Numeric conversion error

If have this query that when run on a SCO with IDS 7.30UC2 returns with a character to numeric conversion error. But if I run it on LINUX with IDS 7.30UC7 it works fine. The data is exactly the same on both machines so are the table layouts. Do I have the latest version of IDS for SCO? Help!!
