Catastrophic failure

I have an application that periodically (every 10 minutes) connects to an informix server and uploads/downloads some data. When I connect using ADO and ODBC the machine uses an increasing amount of memory, until it reaches even 70 Mb. I already have checked that I'm closing all recordsets, destroy objects, close connection, etc. When I use OLEDB, it works fine until, after a varying number of connection/disconnection, I get a "Catastrophic Failure" and from that moment each try to connect results in the same error. When I close the program and start it again it connects again until the problem repeats. Any help? Thanks in advance
I have seen a similiar scenario but with a different database. The JDBC driver we used had a bad memory leak. With each connection some memory would be leaked out. Consequently, this add up to a big amount. It looks like the same thing is happenning with your box. What OS is Informix running on ? Can you check memory using some tool on it ?
