Q/ ISM and Tape devices in NT

I've just starting to play with the Informix Storage Manager from Informix 7.3 under window NT. The manual said I shall make the devices name as \\\\.\\Tape0, I can add this as a devices name, but when I try to backup the data to it, the ISM seens to just hang there. I have 2 questions and wondering if anybody know the answer. 1) What devices name shall I use? If \\\\.\\Tape0 is the one, is there any procedure I have to follow to create such devices like I did for Unix? 2) Can I use this ISM manager to backup the data on my Unix server running 7.2x?
