Hi Richard, It is not difficult at all. The procedure goes somehting like! 1. Partition up the new disks as required so that you have a separate partition for each chunk in your current system. Each new partition must be the same size as the corresponding chunk (they can be larger but that is a waste of disk space). 2. Shut down OnLine. 3. Take a level-0 archive (for safety only). 4. use 'dd' to copy each chunk from it's old location to its new location 5. Re-make all the sym,bolic links pointing to the new chunks. 6. Bring up OnLine (tbinit) and there you are. 7. Verify all is well before trashing old disks Of course, you have to be careful and methodical for steps (1), (4) and (5). Please note that I have done this myself many times but it is *not* an official Informix recommended or supported procedure (for obvious reasons). Chris
