You didn't say so, but you're working on HP-UX - and I think 10.20 rather than 11.00 or 11i (the version is not definitive). Unless you're using the optical storage manager (iosm07a.sl) or a modified version of the HPL libraries (ipldd07a.sl), you should be OK with either the old or the new versions of those libraries. Given that the 'mv' failed, I'm dubious about whether the 'Linking' and 'Previous version' messages are accurate. OTOH, I don't think any harm will have been done either - at least, until you delete the 7.31.UC2A version and the symlinks in /usr/lib are then left broken.
