Informix may pass Sybase in total sales if the current good trend for Informix continues. Also this is dollar value. If you count number of licenses, which of course Informix likes, the picture is quite different. I don't know the lates numbers. Also, why don't you mention (or the original person asking, ask for) Microsoft SQL-Server. Why on earth should we limit this to the Unix market, now that Windows NT is about to take off as a database server. It is still small, but every indication says it will gain many users of the same type of applications as is now run on Unix. MS SQL server is then a very strong contender.
