User reported a syntax error (201) on Informix 10.00FC1 when running a script that works on Informix 11, with the error pointing to the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement. The script attachment didn't come through, so responders couldn't diagnose the specific issue. Jonathan Leffler noted syntax differences exist between versions 10 and 11, suggesting the code uses v11 extensions unsupported in v10. No resolution was provided.

Hi,
I have attached a script which runs without any problem on Informix server
version 11.
On Informix V10.00FC1, running the same script through dbaccess, I have the
followingerror message "201 : A syntax error has occured" and the cursor is
pointing on immediatekeyword in execute immediate statement.
I couldn't find the reason of this problem on V10, where I must run that
script.
What's wrong with the syntax? Can anyone help me solve this issue ?
Best Regards,Henri MOUKOURI

The script isnât attached any more.
There are syntaxchanges (additions) between Informix 10 and the various
versions 11.x and your code is probably using one of those extensions.
You should be aiming to upgrade the version 10 server any time during the
previous five years. Now would be good since you didnât do it sooner
