The reports that I am getting are that IUS does indeed work. Informix has held the full unencumbered release in part because it is new technology and they want to be able to control any fallout and be responsive to anyone using it. The rest is that the first release did not try to perform up to the standards of ODS in relational queries or of Illustra in ODB queries. The promise is that the full release this fall will be up to snuff as far as performance and that the architecture promises to be able to outperform both ODS (both the SMP and XPS versions and Illustra in the near future. I find Informix's prospects excellent personally. Art S. Kagel
