IDS-PE + Java

Hi, I'm using the Informix Dynamic Server Personal Edition running on Windows98. I downloaded the Informix Client SDK, because I have to develop a Java program with a direct access over a JDBC-Driver, which is in the SDK-package. Reading the documentation I remarked that for using a JDBC-driver I have to run the script java.sql, which can be found in the directory %IFORMIXDIR%/java/lib. But there doesn't exist a directory with the name java or the file jdbc.sql. Therefore I started to search for jdbc.sql and found one in the sdk-package. But running it in the SQL-editor I get syntax-errors in the lines starting with "create function ..." I've never heard that Informix databases support a keyword named "function"!!! On the other hand this script (jdbc.sql) had been dowloaded from the official Informix homepage. So, my questions are: 1. Can I use this SDK with my IDS-Personal Edition? 2. Where can I get the right script (if the answer to question 1. is 'yes') 3. Where can I get help concernig IDS-PE and Java (JDBC)? Are there any www-addresses with useful information? ciao Christoph
