Bug in form processing
Posted in 1994
Using Informix RDS, SE, v4.10.UE2 (fglgo and fglpc) on SCO Unix 3.2.4 Problem: Form hangs! Details: Simple form, first field bypassed in the INPUT statement (via 'NEXT FIELD NEXT'), second field marked NOENTRY, 3rd and 4th fields okay for entry. The INPUT statement initially positions the cursor at the start of the 3rd field. If I press the UPARROW key, the cursor goes to the end of the 3rd field (after a small delay), and there it stays! Nothing will move it :-( Appended program demonstrates the problem. -SRK Dept of Computer Science Internet: stuart@coral.cs.jcu.edu.au James Cook University Townsville Tel: +61 77 814992 Qld 4811 Australia FAX: +61 77 814029 ---- bug.4gl -------- DEFINE x1 DATE, x2, x3, x4 SMALLINT MAIN OPEN WINDOW w1 AT 4, 4 with FORM "b1" ATTRIBUTE(BORDER) INPUT BY NAME x1, x2, x3, x4 WITHOUT DEFAULTS BEFORE FIELD x1 NEXT FIELD NEXT END INPUT CLOSE WINDOW w1 END MAIN ---- b1.per -------- database formonly screen size 22 by 78 { x1:[f020 ] x2:[f021] x3:[f022] x4:[f023] } END ATTRIBUTES f020 = formonly.x1 TYPE DATE, FORMAT = "DD-MMM-YYYY"; f021 = formonly.x2, NOENTRY; f022 = formonly.x3; f023 = formonly.x4; END INSTRUCTIONS DELIMITERS " " -- Dept of Computer Science Internet: stuart@coral.cs.jcu.edu.au James Cook University Townsville Tel: +61 77 814992 Qld 4811 Australia FAX: +61 77 814029
