Oracle 10g which is replacing it has to work really hard to match it in performance even though the IDS version we have is 32 bit and Oracle is 64 bit. I really hope that once IDS 7.31 goes end of support in another few months, it is sold as Free of Cost (without open sourcing the code). I am sure it will hit MySQL and even Postgres hard. Support can have a paid model. --
