- do the delete/inserts in smaller batches possibly in by committing small batches in the evening - periodically drop and rebuild the indexes - if possible change the application so there is a virtual table consisting of 2 or more tables - a large static table and a smaller dynamic table; you can use views and stored procedures to minimize application changes - upgrade to a more current IDS version Ken In a message dated 5/9/2007 5:01:02 A.M.
