Re[2]: Puzzling ODBC Error ...

We are using a lot of 16 bit applications on windows 95, and yes we did have several problems, but using WJ2 along with the Intersolv driver provided with the WJ2 release solved all of it ( QEINF509.DLL ). A word of caution, though. WJ2 has a known memory leak problem, and is "reportedly" fixed in the WJ3 release. A lot of support staff at Informix themselves were not aware of this fact. I do not know if that could be the problem Let me know if you have fixed/found the problem Sujata ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: Puzzling ODBC Error ... Author: <Nils.Myklebust@idg.no> at internet Date: 10/8/97 5:13 PM I would expect all kinds of errors and problems using old 16 bit software on Windows 95. You should upgrade your ODBC driver and MS Access to the latest versions. If you do you will save yourself so much trouble the cost of the upgrade isn't an issue at all (unless you view your own time as extremly cheap of course). It's very important to understand that MS Windows and it's software is not very compatible from version to version. Both MS and other suppliers do all kind of strange things that might or might not work on a new version. This upgrade from 16bit to 32bit adressing is additionally quite extensive, so I would expect even more problems than usual. infodata@batelco.com.bh (INFODATA) wrote: :Hello there, : :I have SE 7.23.FC1 sitting on DEC ALPHA server (DEC UNIX 4.0).
