Re[2]: What is your opinion on Informix 7.23 UC5on HP-UX 10.

Tim, We recently went through an upgrade to UC5 and found major problems with it. It had to do with the fact that there was more than bug fixes between the 7.23 UC3 and UC4 version. Informix rewrote some of the communication layer to work better with BAAN and I guess they didn't QA enough. We had problems while running with shared memory connections. We would crash about once a day. In order to alleviate the problem, we had to go back to 7.23UC3. Informix has a fix for this bug now, so if this is the same problems you have, there is a patch.
