Hi All I faced the problem,that I can call some Stored Procedure from unix shell - " echo 'EXECUTE procedure db_test()' | dbaccess cl_default". But if I want to call this procedure from our client (Visual Basic) it gives me an error - "System command cannot be executed" I will appreciate any help. Regards Igor

Hi there. Open a connection with ADO or RDO using VB to the Informix ODBC driver execute a statement to that connection object like this: myADOConnection.Execute "EXECUTE PROCEDURE dbname:db_test()", lRowsaffected If it returns values use OpenRecordset instead of the execute method. Hello, perhaps your stored procedure issues some unix system comand? I assume there are some restrictions for that in ODBC standard. Have a look inside yout stored procedure!
