hello there,
I have the following problem and I need help to solve it.
The case is the following: i have application work with some keys
compination and if i need to break the process i must click on <DEL>
and by the first time it will work but in some places within my
application i need to use <DEL> more the one times. at the 2nd time
the <DEL> key will not work. even i click 10 times there is no effect.
just by the first time it will work.
here is my enviruments:
OS: Debain/ Linux
DB: Informix 9.32
Programming language: 4GL

I have to admit that I haven't looked closely at your profile and maybe there is something in there, but my first reaction would be to look at the program. Are you sure that DEFER INTERRUPT and/or SQL INTERRUPT ON (OPTIONS statement) are set where they need to be and that the interrupt condition is accounted for in all the necessary places? I've seen plenty of code examples where the programmer missed checking the value of int_flag or where they didn't code the termination handling back far enough. That is just a guess on my part, however. -- June Hunt

It ought to have been fixed by now - and ought not to have regressed and reappeared. There is no 9.32 database (or 9.31 either); did you have your fingers off-by-one and mean 9.21? If so, you should, ideally, upgrade. You don't mention the version of I4GL that you're using. If it isn't 7.32, think about upgrading. Given the works-once-fails-thereafter nature of the problem, I can confidently say the issue is nothing to do with your profile. > [...snipped profile...] -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
