We've come from "Manuals are WRONG" to "I can think of } no way to put it any better". ;) More like from "Manuals are WRONG" to "Manuals are not right if your goal differs from the authors'" to "With 7.xx this has gone from a science to an ART FORM" (no pun intended). } } >Hey how about a book for Informix Press detailing Administration and } >tuning tips? Various people in Menlo have been after me to write for Tech Notes for years. This might be a good first article. Especially since I am always complaining that noone seems to know how to tune 7.xx any better than I do and I don't know what the *&^% I am doing. I guess I should put up what I have learned, and been taught, or shut up. Art S. Kagel, kagel@bloomberg.com
