The engine determines the current date and time at startup using gettimeofday(). If you have USEOSTIME set it will also query gettimeofday() each time someone asks for CURRENT or TODAY otherwise the date and time are then calculated internally from that base using timers. So if USEOSTIME is clear (zero) you could set the system clock to another date, start up the engine and reset the system clock back to normal. Flaky but doable I would think. Art S. Kagel
