Fetch Array in ESQLC ..

Hi All, A simple question when using Informix 7.30 /Sun Solaris SDK 2.20. WinNT client. How does the fetch array feature in ESQLC work ? The manual says that if u configure FetArrSize and FetBufSize and allocate space for the resultant set, the fetch array should work ... A sample program when created and run does not do this. (This program is very similar to the one in the manual) . What is missing ? ( The program has ' select first_name, last_name from customer' where both columns are char(20). The table contains 50,000 records. The number of fetches remains 50,000. The time taken is comparable to when doing individual fetches. ) Thanks.
