Printing 4GL reports to printer w/ MVS host

Here's one for you all that are also running MVS-- My users have a _sudden_ interest in having some of their 4GL-written production reports--which are submitted under AIX in an RS6000 env and currently print on an HP LJ4SI with embedded escape sequences--print to a Xerox 4850 printer which runs under MVS. I have been told that this printer emulates a 3211 line printer, and that any escape chars will print out as garbage. Moreover, a different print que will need to be defined for each different print format, and that MVS requires a Special Form Definition for each format. Needless to say...it appears that Systems & I are in for a lot of testing and tweaking! I would REALLY like to hear from those of you who have attempted such a thing. Is such a thing possible??? (I don't know a thing about MVS!) Any input would be appreciated!
