Bought a HP Pavilion PC with 550 MHZ 128 RAM 20gig HDD CDRW DVD Win 98 preinstalled. Can anybody help me guide install linux on the same (alongwith Win 98) and wherefrom / how to download the IFX for linux free copy? Appreciate any guidance. To keep it simple. (1). IDS for Linux works with Red Hat package manager. So using Red Hat may be the easiest installation option. Even though other Linux distributions probably have compatible package managers. (2). A 3rd party partition and boot manager like Partition Magic is probably well worth investing in.
