RE: informix ---> sqlserver

Brian; If you have SQL 7.x then you might think about using it's DTS facility. It can read/write any ODBC compliant database, and seems to be fairly efficient judging by what little experience I've had with it so far. This would require the process to run on your SQL box, a possibility you didn't mention. -----Original Message----- From: Brian TEMPLETON [mailto:btempleton@primustel.com.au] Sent: Tuesday, April 06, 1999 10:02 PM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: informix ---> sqlserver Hi, I need to pull data from a sqlserver db on an NT Server, to update into an Informix db (7.23 HPUX 10.20) on a nightly basis, this will be across our wan. - Is this possible using perl/dbd, as I would like to run this task from the HP side automatically ? Or will I have to initiate an unload from sqlserver on the NT box, then move the data and upload ? TIA - Brian
