Problem setting up SE tcp protocol service
Posted in 1997
I have had Informix running on my SCO box (v3.2v4.2) using a loopback protocol ( seipcpip). All was well but now I need to set it up as a tcp service. I added a service with what I thought were the correct entries to sqlhosts and /etc/services (see below). The service pic_se works fine. This is the loopback service. But the other, (pic_se1) does not and when I try to bulid a database using this one I get an "Nework driver cannot own the network drive" error. I don't know whatI 'm doing wrong. I believe I need to set it up as a TCP service for CLI to work. Can anyone help?
