I would make a witty reply, but I guess that might disqualify me from ever
getting a green card... :-)
It all depends on what the server is doing. If it's just running a database
server, then start with NUMCPUVPUS = # CPUs - 1, then try adding one at a
time until you stop seeing a benefit. However, if you're using the server
for anything else, you'll need CPUs for those processes. Finally, if you set
NUMCPUVPS > # CPUs, you run the risk of the server thrashing if you putsubstantial load on it.
